Overview

Broccoli Hall offers a comprehensive and individualized process for students preparing for life after high school. While most attend four-year Bachelor programs, others pursue alternative career paths. Each path requires understanding, compassion, and a human-centered approach. Through active learning, students develop necessary strategies for navigating college or business environments safely, in ways that support their needs, set appropriate boundaries, and enable productive interactions. Many enroll in college courses. These often prove a student's ability for college-level work, increase confidence, and assist with transitions.

College Application

Our college application process is collaborative and personalized. We work with our students and their families to create a team focused on each student's passions and future. With guidance from our college advisors, the entire process is tailored to individual ambitions and needs - from selecting a school to accepting placement, advocating for necessary accommodations, or pursuing a GAP year. This process is anxiety-provoking for most young people, but particularly our students. We offer quality care, knowledge, and compassion to make their individual experience manageable, non-judgmental, and as uncomplicated as possible. We take pride in their achievements and the academic institutions that embrace them as members of current and future classes. The list of post-secondary schools that have accepted our graduates highlights their success.

Career Support

Independence is crucial for teenage development, and paramount for our students in preparing for the work environment. At the end of each year, every student participates in a week-long work placement hosted by local supportive businesses, organizations, and offices in their area of interest. These valuable weeks give students a practical look into the real world of working in specific fields, providing them the experience to decide whether to continue or alter their ambitions. Additionally, we offer career support services for current students and alumni. We help them develop resumes, cover letters, and interviewing skills. We also help them find part-time opportunities that will welcome their unique qualities, see them as productive team members, compensate fairly, and treat them with the respect they deserve.
